I painted metal doorframes with TESSAROL acrylic enamel, and walls with SPEKTRA LATEX paint. As I did not protect some parts of the doorframes well enough, I got some Spektra LATEX paint on them. How to clean them? I tried with water, but it does not work.
Based on what you wrote, the only possible solution is for you to remove the stains with sanding paper, and apply TESSAROL acrylic enamel once again. If the standard interior wall paint SPEKTRA Classic Plus had been used, you could easily clean the paint with water. Spektra LATEX paints are more high-quality coatings that can no longer be removed with water once dry.
I used a white TESSAROL paint two weeks ago to paint a window frame. Since I was not careful enough, I painted the glass as well in several spots. Could you please help and advise how I can remove the paint stains?
Once the paint is dry, it is almost impossible to remove it. It would probably be possible to remove it mechanically, but that would damage the glass. Try NITRO thinner which can slightly dissolve the paint. However, it is hard to say what consequences this will leave on the glass.
There are nicotine stains on the walls of the room where we smoke. We would like to repaint the walls with different colour patterns, not only with the white anti-nicotine paint. Is it possible to paint over the anti-nicotine paint with other colours?
Walls with nicotine stain traces can be painted with SPEKTRA anti-nicotine paint, which is made on the basis of dearomatized solvents and blocks water-soluble stains, including nicotine. The paint is used in the same way as any interior wall paint and thinned with SPEKTRA thinner for anti-nicotine paint up to 5%. It is not required to use impregnation.
Subsequent painting with water-based coatings is not problematic in terms of adhesion, but as a result of their vapour permeability, water-based coatings might draw the nicotine back to the surface. If you wish to paint the room in a coloured shade, first apply 2 coats of SPEKTRA anti-nicotine paint, followed by SPEKTRA LATEX paint. The paint can also be shaded in over 3000 shades at all selling points with the HGMIX mixing system.
There are stains on the external part of my house caused by an old chimney. The plaster was removed up to the bricks, and we plan to apply classic plaster (rough, fine, top lime-cement plaster which is applied by spraying), and then apply silicate paint. We are afraid the stains might break through the plaster and paint. Which coating should we use?
Considering the fact that you have restored the plaster in the area of the spot, this will reappear on the surface in time regardless of the paint you use to paint over it, if you do not solve the problem with condensation and remove soot stains from the chimney first.
Stains can occur as a result of a worn-out chimney cap which should prevent rain from pouring down the chimney, and thus prevent the transfer and absorption into the interior wall through the worn-out flue liner. If the problem lies in the chimney cap, you should first repair or replace the “roof” of the chimney in order to solve the problem. If the problem is condensation resulting from the heating device, it would be reasonable to have a new stainless steel flue liner installed in the chimney. This will prevent the absorption of condensation into wall surfaces, and consequently the transfer of water-soluble stains. Once the cause of the problem is solved, it is also possible to permanently solve the stain problem.
In any case, surfaces on which there are water-soluble stains are to be painted with solvent-based paints. For indoors, we recommend using SPEKTRA anti-nicotine paint.
Our walls are dirty because of soot. Which paint should we use to paint them?
If walls are dirty from soot, you can use SPEKTRA anti-nicotine paint.
The surface must be dry and solid. First fill rough surfaces and cracks by applying SPEKTRA interior putty.
Apply the paint to the wall or ceiling using a brush, roller, or by spraying. We recommend applying 2 coats. Wait at least 4 hours before applying the following coat. 1 liter covers 4 – 5 m2 of surface in two coats. Thin the paint with SPEKTRA thinner for anti-nicotine paint if required.
There used to be a water stain next to the radiator in our room, and we covered it with SPEKTRA anti-nicotine paint. We painted the remaining part with SPEKTRA Extra interior wall paint. The two shades are different, how is that possible?
The paints you mentioned, SPEKTRA anti-nicotine paint and SPEKTRA Extra are in fact both white, however, the shades are different due to their different composition, fillers and pigments, which give the final shades their different levels of whiteness.
We recommend always using a paint of the same quality for a particular room.
